The Fort Cherry Friends are adding solar power to the work trailer in 2026. By switching to battery-operated equipment, the cost of fuel, filters, and repairs will be eliminated. Additional benefits include: quieter operation, environmentally friendly, and no monthly electric bill. What will the volunteers do: The volunteers will use new equipment to maintain the trail throughout the year What Are You Asking the Fund to Provide: 2- Stihl Model KMA 80 R commercial weed eaters – one with brush cutter head, one with string trimmer head 1- Stihl MS 220 chainsaw with case and 2 extra chains 1- Stihl HT 56T pole chainsaw 2 -Extra batteries and chargers Grant funded May 2026 |
