Rehap a 20 yr old pedestrian bride - replace deck and railing

What is the Project: The proposed project is to rehabilitate a small 20-year-old pedestrian bridge, which has deteriorated over the years. The pedestrian bridge is in Champion, PA, which crosses a tributary of Indian Creek, Roaring Run. The bridge needs rehabilitation to ensure trail users' safety as they travel across counties from Westmoreland to Fayette County. The walking surface is currently worn and slippery, while the railing system is deteriorating and falling down. The proposed project will use volunteers to replace the decking and railings of the bridge, ensuring that trail users can safely use the bridge as they recreate in the Laurel Highlands.

What will the volunteers do: Community volunteers with experience in bridge rehabilitation will lead the project by acquiring the required materials and conducting all necessary labor external volunteers are willing to donate their time and machinery for the entire project. The volunteers will gather the required materials, remove the deteriorating decking and install new decking and railing on the bridge.
