Mon Youghreplace a 20+ Yr old crew cab pickup with a new oneWhat is the Project: A grant from the Trail Volunteer Fund to purchase a new crew cab pick-up with the following significant features that will allow MYTC to better manage our service area in a safe and efficient manner year-round, subject to the final selection of options). - 8-foot bed, - Bed-mounted toolboxes along the length of both sides of the bed, - Bed-mounted ladder rack, - 4-wheel drive, - Cab with heating and cooling for crew comfort and seating for 4-6 volunteers, - V-8 engine with 10-speed automatic transmission, - Towing package, - Safety lighting, What will the volunteers do: A new vehicle, which typically would be used at least weekly if not more often, will allow for over-the-road use to more quickly and efficiently access our entire trail section. It is anticipated that the new truck would support at least 24 volunteer hours weekly from mid-March through mid-November.
