What is the Project? In 25 years much of the original trail surface has worn away and in some places it is soft, some areas have large ruts from the spring thaw, and some areas have no gravel remaining. The trail was originally 10 feet wide but vegetation has taken over the edges and in many areas the trail surface is only 7 to 8 feet wide and narrower in some places. The trail needs to be resurfaced with AASHTO #10 crushed limestone. Our goal is to resurface another 2.5-3 miles of the 18-mile trail in 2023.

What Are You Asking the Fund to Provide?request is for assistance in funding the purchase of approximately 400 tons of AASHTO #10 crushed limestone material.

Our volunteers will provide the following – Clear ditches, Remove overhanging branches for safety, Use the new tractor to rock rake the edges, Detail rake the edges of the trail, Fundraisers for the laying of the gravel
