What is the Project: The Monongahela River Trails Conservancy (MRTC) is planning to expand trail volunteer workdays to establish a monthly workday to gather volunteers and tackle a trail maintenance need on the 48-mile rail-trail system. This request is to fund some tools and supplies that are needed for typical work such as clearing ditch lines and culverts, replacing broken or missing reflectors on pass-thru bollards, graffiti removal, and gate work.

Trail Volunteer Funding Request

  • Graffiti removal from trailside rocks (1 gallon Elephant Snot)
  • Gate replacement of 12’ damaged gates (2)
  • Lumber and sakrete for 4 benches
  • Shovel
  • Long handle Pitchfork
  • Tarps 10’x12’ (2)
  • Rakes (2)
  • Reflectors (100) and security screws
  • Large Gear Box / Tool Cabinet
