Roaring Runrepair wahouts, landdlises, and fix culvertsWhat is the Project: Project Location/Description The repair work that needs to be done is on several sites along the popular Roaring Run Trail, where hillsides have caused water and debris to run across and wash away the trail surface. Several areas along the trail has been washed out, exposing dangerous conditions, and necessitating the following work: - Repair bench at 2 ¾ miles where the top board has completely rotted out and screws are protruding; - Clear slide area from the trail near Edmon hill at the 4.24-mile point. This slide area covered a drainage culvert; - Replace pipe at another blocked culvert near the 2-mile point; - Clear and repair drainage ditch and restore damaged trail with gravel near 3-mile mark. An area downriver from a recently surfaced trail area had 220 feet of trail surface washout down the base because a culvert was blocked from all materials coming down the hillside into the drainage ditch, causing water to run down the trail. Funding Needs While all work will be completed by volunteers, we are seeking funds to cover up to $X,XXX worth of materials and equipment rental for the above-referenced repairs. A detailed budget follows:
