The Redbank Valley Trail was acquired in 2010. Since then, volunteers using borrowed tractors, graders, and a roller have been clearing brush, digging drainage ditches, and doing other work to prepare a smooth, though not completely finished, surface.

The grant from the Trail Volunteer Fund supports the purchase of fuel and oil for heavy equipment used by volunteers for trail construction on the Redbank Valley Trail and for gates to exclude motorized traffic from that trail.
