This project acquires a used storage container unit placed centrally on the trail so that equipment is close to the trail for maintenance activities. This storage unit will enable the trail to purchase and secure additional pieces of equipment to make sure that the trail is well maintained.

The Steel Valley Trail Council has acquired some equipment for trail maintenance and management (saws, blowers, etc.), but there is currently no place to store the equipment that is convenient to the trail. One of the board members is gracious enough to store the equipment in his basement and bring it to the trail for use, but this is inefficient and challenging. A facility that is on the trail will allow more of the maintenance crew to access the equipment.

The grant from the Trail Volunteer Fund supports the purchase and installation of a used storage container unit to be used for storing maintenance equipment used by trail volunteers.
