This project brings together volunteers to create a 2500 sq ft planting of daffodils at the Covert Rd trailhead.

Lawrence County has recently renovated the Stavich Trail. Volunteers have augmented the trail renovation with extensive plantings, which they also maintain. The gardens not only beautify the trail, they are also signed so they serve as teaching and demonstration gardens.

This grant from the Trail Volunteer Fund supports purchase of daffodil bulbs, soil, and mulch for the mass planting of daffodils at the Covert Rd trailhead.

Grant awarded September 2010
Project completed January 2011
