This Girl Scout Gold Award Project will develop and install a historical plaque on the Butler-Freeport Trail at Herman.

The project will highlight the building that was formerly the community's general store, post office, and ticket station; it will also present the history of the trail and the community of Herman.

The grant from the Trail Volunteer Fund is being used to purchase materials for the sign.

Grant awarded April 2008
Project completed August 2009
